Death by Force

Tervon Omar Lee Townsend, a 22-year-old man, was fatally shot on the evening of October 11, 2025, on Indianapolis’ southwest side. Around 6:50 p.m., officers in the area of the 4700 block of Kentucky Avenue, near the I-465 interchange, heard gunfire and found a person down in a parking lot by a gas station. First responders rushed him to a hospital in critical condition. He did not survive. The Marion County Coroner later identified the victim as Townsend.
