On August 25, 2020, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the east side of Indianapolis following reports of a shooting. The incident occurred at an apartment complex located in the 2200 block of Trade Winds Drive, near the intersection of North Shadeland Avenue and East 21st Street.
