On February 11, 2015, the life of 23-year-old James J. Young was cut short in a violent incident on the Near Westside of Indianapolis, Indiana. Young, a Black male, was discovered by authorities who had responded to reports of a shooting in the area. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene to find him suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
