A beloved mother and daughter are brutally murdered in their Indianapolis home
Mary McCarty, aged 56, was found dead in her home in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 25, 1987, along with her daughter, Vicki McCarty, who was 21 at the time. Both were brutally murdered, having been beaten to death with a hammer. The crime scene suggested that Mary was killed in her sleep, while Vicki confronted the attacker. A bloody hammer, presumably the murder weapon, was discovered at the scene, but the investigation into their deaths has remained unresolved.
