On August 7, 2020, Deion Matthews, a 22-year-old resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred on the city's east side, specifically in the 1000 block of Hosbrook Street. According to reports, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers were dispatched to the scene around 11:20 a.m. after receiving a call about a shooting.
