The incident occurred around 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 28th, in the 1500 block of Griffin Drive in Midfield. Johnson was seated in a vehicle when another vehicle reportedly pulled alongside and unleashed a fatal barrage of gunfire in what authorities have described as a targeted drive-by shooting.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene
to find Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the location. News of the violent death of the young man, known to his friends and family by the nickname 'J Wick,' quickly spread, prompting an outpouring of grief and calls for justice. Johnson was remembered for his vibrant personality and the joy he brought to those who knew him.
The Midfield Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide.
