On April 27, 2022, at approximately 12:00 p.m., 17-year-old Dijon Alexander McQueen was fatally shot during an assault in the 600 block of 11th Avenue in Midfield, Alabama. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office reported that McQueen sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Midfield Police Department initiated a homicide investigation into McQueen's death. Shortly after the incident, authorities took one individual into custody in connection with the shooting. ...Read More
