In the late hours of June 12, 2022, the life of Qra’Vonta Arquise Smith, a 22-year-old Black male from the Birmingham area, was tragically cut short. The incident unfolded around 11:00 p.m. in Midfield, Alabama, on the 1300 block of 8th Avenue, where Smith was fatally shot.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, the shooting occurred during what was characterized as a domestic argument. Smith sustained fatal injuries at the scene and was pronounced dead. Born on August 20, ...
