In the early evening of August 9, 2023, a dispute inside a Midfield, Alabama hair salon tragically escalated, ending the life of 28-year-old Deon Jamal Dunklin. A Black male, Dunklin was at Frosting's Hair Salon located at 1433 Woodward Road when an argument broke out with another individual. The verbal altercation turned violent when the other person produced a firearm and shot Dunklin.
