In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Indianapolis, tragedy struck Jose Tellez, a 42-year-old Hispanic male. On September 13, 2020, in the 2100 block of Madison Avenue, gunshots shattered the night, leaving Tellez with fatal injuries. Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene near East Raymond Street around 11:15 p.m. and discovered Tellez suffering from wounds consistent with being shot.
