It was April 4, 2021, when 26-year-old Marcel Chisholm, a male, was shot and killed on the basketball court. The incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. in the 10000 block of East 30th Street, a popular spot on the far east side of the city where, on that day, a crowd of about 150 people had gathered.
When officers from the
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they found Marcel Chisholm with injuries that were consistent with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the park, which was promptly shut down by the authorities as they began their investigation.
