Deontae Davis, a 24-year-old resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, tragically lost his life on August 2, 2016. The incident occurred on the east side of Indianapolis, specifically in the 6500 block of East 25th Street. Davis was shot shortly after 8 p.m. while playing basketball with friends. The shooting was reportedly linked to a dispute over a mere five dollars.
