On July 28, 2024, Mahlique Abrams, a 26-year-old resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, was found dead following a shooting on the city's near north side. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a report of a person lying in an alley in the 3000 block of Boulevard Place at approximately 7:52 a.m..
Upon arrival, officers found Abrams suffering from injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
