On the west side of Indianapolis, a fatal encounter unfolded on December 12, 2020, forever altering the lives of two men. Kenneth 'Kenny' Batts Jr., a 28-year-old male, was found deceased inside a car in the 6300 block of Maidstone Road, near West 46th Street and North High School Road. The grim discovery was made by police officers who were responding to reports of gunfire in the area. An investigation revealed that Batts had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
