On August 26, 2015, he was found shot on Bernard Avenue, in the Butler-Tarkington neighborhood. Known to his loved ones as Wade, he was described as someone full of life and happiness. At the time of his passing, he was a skilled laborer for the City of Indianapolis.
The impact of his violent death rippled through his family, who were left searching for answers and
justice. As of a year after his death, Metro Police had not released any information about potential suspects, and no arrests had been made in connection with his murder. The case remained one of many unsolved homicides in the city, leaving his family in a state of prolonged grief and uncertainty. His loved ones, including his parents, children, and fiancée, were left to cherish his memory while grappling with the void his absence created.
The tragedy of Clarence's death was compounded by the family's past experiences with gun violence. His father had endured the immense pain of losing three sons to shootings in Indianapolis.
