Dr. Kevin Patrick Granata, a renowned professor of Engineering Science and Mechanics at Virginia Tech, tragically lost his life on April 16, 2007, during the Virginia Tech shootings. Granata, aged 45, was among the 32 victims of the mass shooting perpetrated by Seung-Hui Cho, a student at the university.
