On the first day of 2011, the city of Richmond, Virginia, was marked by a violent act that claimed the lives of two of its young residents. Alex Arrington, a 25-year-old Black male, and his companion, 25-year-old Coraliss Avanita Logan, were discovered inside a vehicle in the city's Southside, both having succumbed to gunshot wounds in what was quickly determined to be a double homicide.
