In the early hours of New Year's Day 2013, the life of 31-year-old Carlton 'CJ' Richard Holland Jr. was tragically cut short in Suffolk, Virginia. A male, known for his kind heart and poetic soul, Carlton was attending a lively New Year's Eve party in the 400 block of Linden Avenue. As the night's celebrations turned to the dawn of a new year, gunfire erupted, and Carlton was struck in the upper chest.
