Jaquan Meleek Saunders, a 19-year-old resident of Suffolk, Virginia, tragically passed away on August 22, 2022. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, August 22, when Suffolk Police responded to a report of a shooting on the 800 block of West Washington Street at approximately 12:02 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found Saunders suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
