In the early morning hours of December 4, 2023, a sense of unease settled over the 1000 block of Nansemond Parkway in Suffolk, Virginia. At approximately 2:45 a.m., the Suffolk Emergency Communications Center received a distressing call about a man in a parking lot with gunshot wounds. Responding officers arrived to a grim scene, where they located an adult male near a black vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
