Corey Lovell Baker, a 30-year-old resident of Suffolk, Virginia, tragically lost his life on November 4, 2018. The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Nansemond Parkway around 2:30 p.m. Baker was shot and killed at the scene, despite immediate medical efforts by police officers and emergency medical services. The shooting took place at the Heritage Acres apartment complex and was described as an isolated incident following a verbal altercation between Baker and the suspect.
