In the predawn hours of May 21, 2019, the calm of a Suffolk, Virginia neighborhood was broken by the sound of gunfire. When police arrived at the Remington Park neighborhood, they discovered the body of 20-year-old Gregory Isaiah Goodman, a Black male from Newport News. He was found in a parking lot on Gentry Street, having been shot multiple times.
