Ja'mek Renal Herbert, a 20-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, tragically lost his life on December 10, 2013. Born on March 4, 1993, Ja'mek was a young man with a promising future ahead of him. He is survived by his son, Timek Herbert, his father, Vander Jones, his mother, Julia Herbert, and his brothers, Ja'quan and Jamal Herbert. The community mourned his untimely death, and his funeral services were held at New Hope Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia.
