In the autumn of 2014, the life of a 30-year-old Black male, Jazztyne S. Johnson, was tragically cut short in what authorities would describe as a targeted act of violence. On the afternoon of September 22, 2014, police were called to Johnson's residence in the 5800 block of Westover Village Drive in Richmond, Virginia, for a report of a person shot.
