In the early morning hours of Sunday, July 21, 2019, the life of 21-year-old Javonte T. Mangum was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. Officers responded to a report of random gunfire in the 2100 block of Creighton Road at approximately 3:47 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Mangum suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and succumbed to his injuries later that morning.
