In the summer of 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the late-night quiet of a Richmond neighborhood, leaving a young man's life tragically cut short. On the evening of July 1st, police were called to the Whitcomb Court community, a residential area in the city. There, lying near the front of an apartment building, they discovered the unresponsive body of 27-year-old Tyrell J. Thomas. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
