Jacob S. Jones, a 34-year-old resident of Richmond, VA, was tragically killed on September 15, 2019. The incident occurred in a parking lot on Richmond's southside, specifically in the 6300 block of Jahnke Road. Jones was discovered by Richmond Police Department (RPD) officers who were working an off-duty assignment around 2:00 a.m. Despite immediate medical assistance, Jones succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The medical examiner confirmed that Jones died from a gunshot wound.
