In the early morning hours of September 15, 2019, the life of Jacob S. Jones, a 34-year-old Black male from Richmond, Virginia, was tragically cut short. Jones was discovered by Richmond Police officers around 2:00 a.m. in a parking lot located in the 6300 block of Jahnke Road on the city's southside. He was suffering from a gunshot wound and, despite the efforts of first responders, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
