In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 6, 2019, the life of 22-year-old DeVon A. Lyles was tragically cut short in the Shockoe Bottom neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia. At approximately 2:37 a.m., Richmond Police officers in the area heard the sound of gunshots and quickly responded to the 1700 block of East Broad Street where they discovered Lyles suffering from a gunshot wound.
