In the late afternoon of March 19, 2015, the promise of a spring evening in Newport News, Virginia, was shattered by gunfire. At The Reserve at Deer Run, an apartment complex off Jefferson Avenue, 26-year-old Adrian B. Holiday, a male resident of the city, was found shot.
