Davon Mathews, a 25-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, tragically lost his life on May 19, 2020. The incident occurred during a home invasion on Logan Place in Newport News. According to reports, the shooting was reported around 10:45 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, who were subsequently taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
