Melquan Tybrae Kennedy, a 23-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, tragically lost his life on May 21, 2018. He was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in the 300 block of Circuit Lane at approximately 11:50 p.m. that night. The circumstances surrounding his death were immediately treated as a homicide, prompting a thorough investigation by local law enforcement.
