Akhi Ar-Rad Abdul Haqq, aged 55, tragically lost his life on August 8, 2019, in Newport News, Virginia. He was one of the victims in a double homicide that occurred at Dunn’s River Jamaican and Caribbean Restaurant. The incident unfolded when Darrell Keith Chaney Jr., 37, entered the restaurant and, following a brief altercation, opened fire.
