On a cold January evening in 2014, the life of 71-year-old Joseph Henry Williams Jr. was tragically cut short in Newport News, Virginia. On Sunday, January 19, Williams was found inside a residence on 35th Street, the victim of a fatal shooting. The discovery was made after police were called to the scene to investigate the sound of gunshots that had disturbed the quiet of the neighborhood.
