On August 8, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Newport News, Virginia, resulting in the death of Monroe McGilvary Jr., a 60-year-old resident of Williamsburg. McGilvary was one of three victims found dead in a home on Stallings Court, near Fort Eustis.
