On the evening of November 12, 2016, in Newport News, Virginia, the life of 21-year-old Demetrius Elijah Estes was tragically cut short. Gunshots rang out at the Tarrytown Apartment Complex shortly after 6:30 p.m., prompting a response from local law enforcement. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a grim scene with two victims of the shooting.
One young man, 19-year-old Juwan Rashik Williams, was pronounced dead at the scene.
