On December 1, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Newport News Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 700 block of Gloucester Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered three men inside an apartment, all suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim, identified as 23-year-old Jesus Hamilton of Hampton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
