TeSean Wilkerson, a 24-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, was tragically shot to death on November 18, 2012. The incident occurred in the apartment he shared with his mother, Sonja Adkinson, on Lochview Drive. On the evening of the shooting, Adkinson called 911 at 8:16 p.m. and reported that she had shot her son. When officers arrived, they found Wilkerson in an upstairs bedroom with a gunshot wound to his back. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
