In a chilling confession, Alderink claimed that he and Kenneth Parker, a local library custodian, had conspired to abduct women for human trafficking. He admitted to arranging a meeting with June on the morning of her disappearance under the pretense of saying goodbye before he left for Michigan. According to Alderink, he handed June over to Parker, who then killed her and attempted to burn her remains in a remote area.
