June Carpenter Gilkerson, a 24-year-old woman from Midland, Texas, was last seen on November 8, 1986. On the day of her disappearance, June left her home around 9:00 a.m., telling her husband she was heading to her volunteer job at the Midland Restitution Center, a halfway house.
