In the summer of 2022, the life of 35-year-old Shanitia Mikell Eure-Lewis of Newport News, Virginia, came to a tragic end. A mother of two teenage sons, she was a beloved member of her community and her church. On the morning of Sunday, July 17, 2022, she attended the 8 a.m. service at Gethsemane Baptist Church.
