Sonya Hunter, aged 43, tragically lost her life on January 30, 2016, in Norfolk, Virginia. The incident occurred in her home on Westcliff Drive, where she was fatally shot by her 22-year-old son, Shawn Hunter. According to reports, the police received a call around 9 a.m. on the day of the incident, and upon arrival, they found Sonya Hunter with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries later that afternoon.
