In the Olde Huntersville section of Norfolk, Virginia, on the evening of April 22, 2016, the life of Deandre Raynor, a 31-year-old Black male, was cut short by gunfire. Around 7 p.m., near the intersection of Fremont and O'Keefe Streets, gunshots rang out, drawing the attention of police officers who were nearby managing a separate barricade situation.
