In the late summer evening of August 28, 2016, the life of Antonio M. Grier, a 37-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. At approximately 9:27 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of the 4800 block of Orcutt Lane. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Grier unresponsive in a garden area, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
