In the autumn of 2017, the life of 21-year-old Alexander Shawn Briggs was cut tragically short in a burst of gunfire on a Richmond, Virginia street. The young man, a resident of the city, was shot on the evening of Saturday, September 30, 2017. He was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. For four days, he fought for his life, but ultimately succumbed to his wounds on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.
