In the early morning hours of August 25, 2021, the life of 56-year-old Lawrence Lewis, a Black male, was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Richmond, Virginia. Richmond Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Stegge Avenue around 1:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a person shot. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Lewis inside a residence, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite any efforts to render aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
