Jonathan McDonald Hamlett, aged 41, tragically lost his life on October 5, 2016, in Danville, Virginia. The incident occurred around 7:55 p.m. when the Danville Police Department responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 300 block of Chatelaine Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Hamlett in the street near the intersection with Albert Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead the following day.
