On the evening of October 28, 2021, Steve Gunter, a 40-year-old resident of Danville, Virginia, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred around 7:58 p.m. in the 400 block of Bradley Road. Responding to reports of gunfire, Danville Police arrived at the scene to find Gunter lying in the street, where he was pronounced dead by first responders.
The investigation quickly identified Jerome Jermaine Davis Jr., a 43-year-old from Danville, as the primary suspect in Gunter's murder.
