Lashanda Mecole Deshazo, aged 43, tragically passed away on September 6, 2020, in Danville, Virginia. On that early Sunday morning, Danville Police responded to a reported shooting at approximately 3:22 a.m. in the 800 block of Buford Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Lashanda Deshazo deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The incident marked the fifth homicide in Danville for the year 2020.
