On the evening of September 12, 2017, a tragedy unfolded at the Joy Food Store on Riverside Drive in Danville, Virginia, that would leave a community in shock and a family mourning the loss of a loved one. Tahir Mahmud, a 54-year-old male, was found deceased inside the convenience store where he worked.
