In the late hours of a spring night in Danville, Virginia, the life of Marcus Lamar Hairston, a 37-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short. On April 30, 2023, at the Woodside Village apartments, gunfire erupted, leaving Hairston fatally wounded.
