In the early morning hours of Sunday, September 29, 2024, tragedy struck in Danville, Virginia, ending the life of 21-year-old Ammorrion Rashad Harris. Harris, a Black male, was found lying on the sidewalk in front of Culture Restaurant at 510 Spring Street just before 1:30 a.m., suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency services transported him to SOVAH Health Danville, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
